John M Steel
John Steel is a Partner of the law firm Piper Rudnick Gray Cary with over 25 years of experience in structuring and negotiating a wide range of financing transactions, acquisitions, and strategic alliances. He has managed hundreds of private equity financings for issuers and investors and served as lead counsel on more than 30 public offerings. Steel is also experienced in a broad range of commercial transactions, including commercial finance, licensing and distribution arrangements.

Mr. Steel holds a B.A. from Stanford University and a J.D. from University of Washington.

William Bromfield
William H. Bromfield is a Partner at DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary, and concentrates in private and public financings, mergers and acquisitions, and general securities and corporate law.

Mr. Bromfield has represented underwriters in numerous public and private transactions (initial, secondary, and follow-on public offerings, and Regulation S and 144A offerings). He has also represented venture capitalists in initial and later stage venture financings.

He has represented numerous public and private companies, as in-house and outside counsel, in various industries, including telecommunications, Internet, energy and other high-technology industries.

Mr. Bromfield holds a B.A. from Westminster College, and J.D. and M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University.

Benedict R. Dugan
Ben Dugan specializes in computer-related patent prosecution. He received his B.S. in Values, Technology, Science and Society, with a concentration in Computer Science, from Stanford University in 1992. He received an M.S. in Computer Science (1995) and a J.D. (2005) from the University of Washington.

After receiving his M.S., Mr. Duagan served for two years as Chief Architect for a San Francisco-based startup company, where he designed, developed, and deployed voice-activated web browser technologies. Mr. Dugan also worked for five years for as an instructor for the University of Washington Department of Computer Science and Engineering, teaching a wide variety of undergraduate courses for majors and non-majors. In 2002, the University of Washington Student Chapter of the ACM awarded him the UW ACM Teaching Award. Mr. Dugan has expertise in the areas of computer architecture, operating systems, programming language implementation, object-oriented design and development, and user interface design.

Mr. Dugan is admitted to the Washington State Bar.
